Top Gear Presents....Zonda and the Lambo

BBC style, the Brits do a fine job of highlighting the performance limits of luxury exotics. For your viewing pleasure, enjoy the track time....

Life Imitating Art (Part II)

This time it's Grand Turismo, likely considered the earliest of tuner car console games and thus the first to drive aftermarket inspiration. By far, the most pronounced of Honda S2000 body work came from the game iteration of this master piece. The car, dubbed the GT1, sports a carbon kit, and pumps out over 5oo ponies. What's makes it so striking is the Amuse bodykit. Simply put, there's the Amuse S2000 and then there's the rest.

Life Imitating Art (or games for that matter)

Forza and Need for Speed as console games have long been inspirations for what could be....Essentially the game manufacturers where a year or two ahead of what was being produced in the aftermarket, until now. Leave it to the boys and girls at EA Sports to drive part of the tuner revolution. Now, meet Ivan Gonzalez’s RX-7. Yeah, it looks like the one in Tokyo Drift that got smashed up. It's reps the Fortune Veilside bodykit, 452bhp compliments of a Turbo kit Greddy T6 by Trust, and lots of other goodies. Full story check out modifiedcars.com.

IROC code name for Scirocco

Remember this pocket rocket of a V-DUB resembling the front of a Jetta but with 2 doors and a hatch. Well, it's coming baaaaaaaaaccckkk! Well, we hope. Nonetheless, V-DUB decided to take it out on the skid pad to test some lateral Gs...meaning it's like drifting on a surface after a down pour. It's come a long way from the 1974 rendition.

Check out the new creation.

VW has never been one to sit out any type of tuner revolution. They must have gotten wind of the redesigned Audi TT (that finally resembles a sports coupe) or that soon to be fiest 1 series Bimmer coming across the pond.

But back to the skid pad, enjoy this clip.

Forumla D for Drift - Summit Point

A few weeks back, I highlighted RC cars performing the art of drifting. So let's take a step back to ultra modified Japanese-Spec and American Muscle cars drifting. Enter Summit Point, WV where round 3 took place. The event showcased notable drivers such as Ken Gushi (SpeedTV's Set up), Rhys Millen (Speed TV's Set Up, Tokyo Drift's stunt driver, Motor Trend Test driver), and several others of Japanese origin which I neither spell nor pronounce. Nonetheless, you have to respect the craftmanship of the drift setup. Insane amounts of power, endless wheelspin, widebody kits, and deep offset wheels. Be on the look out for video clips.

HIN meaning Hot Import Nights

What started as the ultimate enthusiast car show in Cali only has morphed into more of a lifestyle event; break dancing meets Hip Hop DJs meets cars meets models. Now HIN boasts over 12 cities on the tour. And yes, the "night" implies a bit more mature audiences. Now it has invaded Here are some pics from the D.C.
