Bugatti Veyron - 253MPH

That's faster than an F1 car (uh, with airbags)...Let's go along for the ride. What else would you expect from a car with 10 radiators (or was is 11).

Not Your Daddy's Alfa Romeo

Years ago (that being decades) the Alfa Romeo was one of the hottest convertible roadsters of it's time. The word roadster wasn't even a mainstream term at the time. Then, like most of the European automakers (except the Germans), they all faded to black and disappeared, well at least state side.

Once again the Alfa Romeo will make it's come back into the automotive ranks within the U.S. in 2008, and yes, with another stunning roadster. While the 8C Competizione isn't available in a drop top yet, who cares. It's a gorgeous car, reminiscent of something out of the TVR camp with very much it's own pedigree.

Ferrari Enzo v/s Toyota Supra

Okay, so I'm a Toyota man (being that I own a 4Runner) but never in my wildest dreams would I imagine running down anything Italian in a 6000lb object with car seats in the back while Dora The Explorer or Barney blazens the LCD and the factory JBLs. But a Supra is another story. This is the only way to play tag, Interstate style.

Nissan Skyline 1300hp - 346km/h

Uh, that's over 200mph...

Sexiest Ferrari yet to be made...

The Ferrari Aurea Berlinetta...only as Enzo himself could have ever dreamed...the striking stance, the body lines, like an hour glass shape in the perfect red dress...something truly to Marvel over.

Can you believe this creative arose from a graduation thesis with the support of Ferrari engineers. The Aurea Project was born from the desire to place the F1 DNA on a normal car (as if that wasn't accomplished already with the F50 and Enzo). http://www.cartype.com/page.cfm?id=300

Beyond AMG for Benz Tuning

So we all have much respect for the craftsmanship that AMG has brought to Mercs (that being Mercedes Benz). Even Brabus has tought the tuning community a thing or two about modified luxury.

AMG S Class

BRABUS S Class

And then there's ASMA, who has taken it to a whole other level. This is just ridiculous.

The Very Ultimate VW GTI

So the pretuned story line by V-DUB continues on. So as another shot across the bow at would be Japanese Import Tuners, here comes another rendition of the GTI. Dubbed the GTI W12, it is a one-off creation, built to show at the Woerthersee VW/Audi modified car gathering in Austria. Uh, it's a Phaeton engine...Whewwww.....twin-turbocharged W12; 641hp, to be precise, or 650PS (hence the name). It also packs 553lb-ft of torque. VW reckons it will run from 0-62mph in 3.7sec, and head on to 202mph, which is pretty much on a par with a Porche 911 Turbo. mailto:D&%5E#@%#@. And we thought the R-GT line up for the Passat and Jetta were forces to reckon with.

Track time: Luxury Exotics

Ever heard of Tiff Needel? Nevermind, but he has the ultimate day job...Pushing the hottest of luxury exotics (Enzos, SLRs, McLarens, M5s, Z06, Pagani Zondas) to their absolute limits...Check out the hard core track and mountain road courses where he takes each of the makes on a sideways excursion.

F1 vs Ferrari vs Fiat: Guess who wins

Titled F1 vs Ferrari vs Fiat...Okay so what would you beg to be the outcome if a Fiat (factory tuned) gets a 30 second head start on a Ferrari 575 and over a minute and a half against a Schumacher driven F1 car. Close but not that close in a 1 lap time trial.

Modern Day Cannon Ball Run

AKA Bull Run or the chaos known as...It is the high profile new breed of high-end “luxury lifestyle” automotive rallies. Each year, a hundred of the world’s premier super-cars embark on the beginning of an invite-only epic eight-day rolling party across the USA, bringing together a celebrity strewn cast of characters (to say the least). This year it's from Montreal to Key West. Oh, yes the ultimate in high powered modified cars...

Death of Another Tuner Icon: WRX

Much as the Jetta went for a more pinache style of vehicle design (i.e. un-modifiable and now no longer apart of the modified car culture), Subaru seems to have suffered from the same illness...design a car that is relatively unattractive and can't be rescued even with the body craftmanship of Veilside, Spoon, VIS, or whoever...It's a done deal. See for yourself...

I mean is it a Nissan Versa, a new Hundai, mmmmm...looks like the title will belong to Mitsu visa vi the next Evolution.

Essence of Rotary Power

Ever pondered what a $70,000 plus build looks like on an RX7. Feast your eyes no further. Compliments of Stevens Motorsports the RX7 puts down 460 wheel hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. Not too shabby for an engine that displaces 1.3 liters. With the help of a GT35R turbocharger.
Did I mention the fact that it's a full carbon body?

Toyota Supra: Pending Return

Okay, so Toyota must be feeling the pinch from the overwhelming success of the 350z as it continues to runaway with marketshare (note other Japanese automakers are killing off their 2 door coupes); Celica - gone...S2000 - soon to be gone...Prelude - long gone...Eclipse - on profitability life support again to soon be gone....So here's an early look at the Concept version.

Of course the folks at Top Secret (home of the legendary Smokey - pick up an Options video if you don't know who he is) had another idea. They created two editions of what would have been the next gen Supra with ignorant amounts of power (ignorant being 700+)...mmm...we'll see what Toyota Corporation can come up with.

Now, want to see the first Top Secret Supra put 750hp to work.... Don't try this on the LA freeway fellow Toyota engineers...

Why it all originates from Japan

Whether it's JGTC (that Japanese Grand Touring), Drifting, VIP, or most of the trends in aftermarket automotive culture, it's simply on a different level in Japan. Where else would you find tuned Silvias, RX7s, JDM spec Hondas, you name it that begs the question, why shell out major $$$ for German engineering (especially when you don't have it!). Check out the latest pics compliments of JTuned.com's coverage of the Tokyo Auto Salon. Now, that's show worth flying across the pond for.

RC Drifting

In case you've been in a vacuum, you've problably heard of the newest form of motorsports called Drifting. But, RC drifting (meaning remote control)? Now this takes talent....http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=377530992908047123

Ford Revives Saleen with F-150

So after sending the SVT business unit into hiding (even though they said it would resurface...read the find print $12 billion dollar loss), Detroit shows sign of life via the high powered F-150, complements of Mr. Saleen. The Supercharged racks up 450 bhp @ 5200 RPM, and with 500 lb-ft of torque @ 4000 RPM.....uh move over you slow belt-way Sunday drivers...
